Paramita Bhattacharya, MSW, LSW.
School Social Worker, Spaulding School.
Hello Friends and Family of District 56,
My name is Ms. B (Ms. Paramita Bhattacharya) and I am the new Social Worker at Spaulding. I work very closely with Mrs. Scher and consider myself privileged to work for District 56. I have a background in fostering, education, and women and child health.
I was born and raised in India and most of my academic learning is from India. However, thanks to my parents and their belief in me, I had the opportunity to study and work in England as a fostering social worker. I met my husband in London and here I am in Illinois. I did my Masters in Social Work and specialized in health and mental health. I got my Type 73 certification in 2015 from ISBE and currently preparing for my LCSW license. I live with my wonderful and caring husband and in my free time I love to read, cook, and listen to music. I am a nature lover and love to garden.
I always enjoy making positive connections with students and their family to ensure that I can support them and be a resource for them to fall back on. I am available to support you and your children so please feel free to email me.

As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world - that is the myth of the atomic age - as in being able to remake ourselves.
